Easy Bake Oven

Easy Bake Ovens… easy my rump. Pulling out 500 different utensils trying to get the stupid pan out of the stupid crevice that was narrower than my future as a baker was absolutely ridiculous. Not only that, my parents wouldn’t even buy me the packets of mix for the toy because they cost more than the ingredients to just make a normal batch of cookies. And my parents definitely want to try the crumb sized portion of underbaked goodness that was the mini whoopie pies. Not only that every little girl on the advertisement was missing there handsome prince who should have been there to eat their little treats, warm out of the oven. Because baking is for girls. The purple really highlights the sweat on the heads of all the girls slaving away over the mini confections. It’s a tragic thing that these gender stereotypical ovens for the youth were discontinued. What are kids going to do when they realized they have a full sized oven in their kitchen? Make real food? Ridiculous. It truely is a shame that this stereotypical monstrosity of a toy was discontinued. God forbid the children of today learn how to use the resources around themselves to actually do something worth while. My heart truely aches for all the children today who will never get to know the hoy of the Easy Bake Oven.

I like how you included gender stereotypes along with sarcasm in your explanation of your toy.

  3. This was so entertaining to read, it felt like I was talking to you face to face lol. The writing style, even though it was supposed to mimic Prager’s, showed your personality so clearly. The sarcasm is hilarious :)

  4. As someone who has never used an easy-bake oven (I haven't lived I know) this is a very effective sales pitch
